Privacy Policy

Overview

This is my personal website. I write and publish everything on it myself; it is not operated by, or on behalf of, any organization, including the Socialist Party of Zambia. This policy explains what little information the site collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with.

Information collected through the contact form

When you use the Contact form on this site, I collect the name, email address, and message you choose to provide. That information is used only to read and respond to you. I do not use it for marketing, add you to a mailing list, or share it with anyone beyond what is described below.

The form is processed by Web3Forms, a third-party service that delivers submissions to my inbox without this site running its own server. Web3Forms briefly handles your submission in order to deliver it; see their privacy policy for details on how they process it.

Hosting and content management

This site is a static website, built with Decap CMS and hosted on Netlify. Netlify serves the site's pages and, like most web hosts, automatically logs standard technical information for every visitor, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, to operate and secure the site. I do not use these logs for tracking or analytics, and I cannot personally identify a visitor from them. See Netlify's privacy policy for details.

Decap CMS is the tool I use to write and publish articles on this site. It is only accessible to me as the site's author and does not collect any information from visitors.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising trackers. Nothing on this site tracks your browsing activity, either on this site or elsewhere.

Third-party links

Articles on this site sometimes link to outside sources, including news coverage and other websites. Once you follow one of those links, that site's own privacy practices apply, not this one.

Your data, your rights

Since the only personal information this site collects is what you choose to submit through the Contact form, you can ask at any time what I have on file for you, or ask me to delete it. Reach me through the Contact form linked in the header and footer. For official statements or Party matters, contact the Socialist Party of Zambia directly.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top will always reflect the latest revision.
